Energy market analysis, built from the source data up.
StorageCurve was built to answer a practical question: what do supply, demand, and inventories tell us about energy markets right now? Official sources publish the underlying observations, but turning scattered data into a readable supply-and-demand picture still takes work.
The site combines inventory and flow data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, European gas storage from Gas Infrastructure Europe, Norwegian reservoir data from NVE, Swedish reservoir data from Energiföretagen, Swiss reservoir data from SFOE/BFE, planned French nuclear availability from ENTSO-E, and reported European electricity data from Fraunhofer ISE Energy-Charts. It keeps the focus on what the data actually says: stocks against their season, supply against demand, and which physical buffer is the active constraint.
Independent and free
StorageCurve is independently operated. It is free, requires no signup, and carries no advertising at launch. EIA, GIE, NVE, Energiföretagen, SFOE/BFE, ENTSO-E and Fraunhofer ISE Energy-Charts are data sources; they do not sponsor, endorse, or review this site.
No manufactured certainty
Physical storage and supply-demand balance are valuable context, but they cannot explain or predict every price move. The site does not publish a target price, track a model portfolio, or present a storage deficit as a guaranteed trade. The complete formula and exclusions are published on the methodology page.
What may come next
The Europe seasonal-buffer page publishes a 6–12-month gas path, separately scored Norwegian, Swedish and Swiss reservoir-hydro anchors, and France’s twelve-month planned nuclear schedule. Possible later additions include broader audited hydro and firm-power coverage and LNG-terminal balances. Missing stocks are not silently inferred from installed power or generation.
